SOCIAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Being a key goal, we intend to establish a robust mechanism for supporting projects in Kenya.

SCALE UP

We have managed to unite and establish great relationships with other Kenyan welfare associations in Switzerland.

CHARITY

Previously, we managed to collect donations to support a food bank intitiative for individuals directly affected by COVID.

POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT

We continue to engage the Kenya Embassy in Bern on issues affecting Kenyans in Switzerland.

Our Objectives

Charity fundraising events

Organize charity fundraising events to support socially and/or economically disadvantaged Kenyans and those affected by disasters in Kenya

Promoting Kenyan culture

Promote an understanding and appreciation of the Kenyan culture in Switzerland.

Welcoming Kenyans to Swiss

Help incoming Kenyans adapt to life in Switzerland.

Information exchange

Provide a forum for the expression and exchange of ideas and experiences, of benefit to the achievement of the overall purpose of the Association.

Recreational activities

Organize events to bring Kenyans together for recreational and cultural purposes (barbecues/information days/parties etc).

Networking

Organize forums where Kenyans and friends of Kenya may network and share information on issues of common interest particularly as relates to the initiatives promoted

by WISA and the opportunities of activities and programs in the Swiss community that may be of benefit to members.

Learning platform

Bring together the children of Kenyans living in Switzerland for recreation, networking, exposure to the diverse cultures of the Kenyan communities and for establishing friendships while promoting the learning and mastering of Kenyan

languages, especially Kiswahili.

Collaborations

Collaborate with other Associations representing Kenyan’s in Switzerland both directly and through participating in any established umbrella association.
